This piece of jewelry is made using lost wax casting techniques. Each element was designed from a molding of a glass shard produced by Marion Fillancq during an archaeological cutting session, to then be drawn into metal and worked at the workbench. This jewel has been polished by hand to reveal the facets of the cut sparkle, its tears, and its material. A mirrored element enhances this jewel: it was cut by pressure using the archaeological cutting techniques mentioned above. Earrings sculpted in bronze, hand polished and gilded with fine 24K gold. Hand-cut mirror 925 silver rod. Entirely handmade.

Marion creates jewelry pieces, carved from history. The excellence of her training at the Ecole Boulle led her to the Parisian workshops of Edgard Hamon and Chanel.

She learned about experimental archeology and how early humans carved rocks. She paid close attention to ancient techniques and applied them to contemporary creations.

She was already shaping things at the European Research and Training Center for Glass Arts, at Baccarat, and learned about its riches, and demands for beauty.
